Beer has had such an influence on generations of Quebecers and taking time to get to know our local brewpubs will surely make your day in Montréal memorable.

Historic references, stories and anecdotes about how the delicious beverage influenced Quebecers, from the first settlers up to our modern brewers. But also the contemporary beer scene, beer tourism and cooking with beer.

Whether you already are a beer fanatic, or tasting your first craft beer, this city tour is made for all level of epicureans.

Bacchus’ Day

Discover the history of Québec through wine, hard cider and beer tasting.

6 to 7 hours, 1 to 4 guests

Already popular for its wine circuit, the Montérégie region is also wonderful for its cider and beer scene. This tour is a great combination of history, scenery, tasting and surprises, coordinated by a fun and passionate guide, specialized in alcohols from Quebec’s terroir.

This tour will bring us to Rougemont. Covered with orchards, this mountain is the best place to discover cider and realize how important it was to the first settlers.

Have you ever had Ice Cider? If not, you are in for quite a treat!

Next, a half-mile walk alongside the Richelieu River, where you will see many gorgeous historical houses from the 19th century. That will lead us to Fort Chambly, where we will have a picnic style lunch with a tasty lunchbox specially prepared for you by the local baker.

Then I will lead you to a museum… of Beer artefact! But the pleasure will not only be for your eyes, we will also sample 2 beers from this great, all natural microbrewery.

And our last stop, an exceptional winery where you and your group will have the pleasure to lay back, and enjoy a glass of wine in a rural garden.
